Cantlop Bridge

Cantlop Bridge is a single span cast-iron road bridge over Cound Brook in the parish of Berrington, Shropshire. It was constructed in 1818 to a design possibly by Thomas Telford, being at least having been approved by him, and replaced an unsuccessful cast iron coach bridge constructed in 1812.

Cantlop

Cantlop is a small village in the English county of Shropshire. It is part of the civil parish of Berrington. Various meanings have been suggested for the name, such as an enclosed or cut-off valley or an enclosure in a waste or common. Nearby villages include Condover to the west of Cantlop, with the village of Berrington to the north-west.

Berrington railway station

Berrington railway station was a railway station on the Severn Valley line. It opened in 1880 with a single platform and a siding. By 1898 it had acquired an additional platform along with a signal box and the sidings had been expanded. Despite the name it was actually closer to the neighbouring village of Cross Houses. Although thought by some people to have been closed as part of the Beeching axe in 1963 its planned closure pre-dated his report.

Cronkhill

Cronkhill, a country house in Shropshire near Shrewsbury, was designed by John Nash about 1802 for the second Lord Berwick, who lived nearby at Attingham Park. The house is one of the incunabula of Italianate architecture in Great Britain.

Cound Hall

Cound Hall, in Cound, Shropshire, England, is a Grade I listed building. It is a large vernacular Baroque house, with a basement and two storeys of tall slender windows topped by a half-storey, built of red brick with stone dressings. The house was built in 1703-04 for Edward Cressett by John Prince of Shrewsbury.
