Ticklerton

Ticklerton is a small village in Shropshire, England. It is situated in countryside to the south-east of the market town of Church Stretton. The village barely qualifies as such since it possesses no public house, post office, shop or church. However, it does have a thriving village hall and activities centred around it. The village holds a very traditional fete on the first Saturday of June each year. It lies in the civil parish of Eaton-under-Heywood; nearby is the hamlet of Birtley.

Church Stretton railway station is a railway station serving the town of Church Stretton in Shropshire, England. It is situated on the Welsh Marches Line, 12+⁄4 miles south of Shrewsbury railway station, while trains on the Heart of Wales Line also serve the station. All trains serving the station are operated by Arriva Trains Wales, who also manage the station.

Wenlock Edge

Wenlock Edge is a limestone escarpment near Much Wenlock, Shropshire, England. It is 24 km long and runs from southwest to northeast between Craven Arms and Much Wenlock. It is roughly 330 metres high (above sea level). The deciduous woodland which runs along it covers much of the steep slopes of the escarpment and in parts it is very well preserved. It is perhaps best known as the setting for A. E. Housman's poem "On Wenlock Edge the Wood's in Trouble".
