Tuxford Central railway station

Tuxford Central railway station is a former railway station in Tuxford, Nottinghamshire. It was opened by the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway in March 1897 and closed by British Railways in September 1955. From Boughton the line descended to the valley of the River Trent and Tuxford station was just before the line crossed the GNR's main line. It was, for a while, called Tuxford Town though none of the three stations were particularly close to the town centre.

Beth Shalom Holocaust Centre

Beth Shalom (lit. "House of Peace") is a Holocaust memorial centre near Laxton in Nottinghamshire in England. Opened in 1995, it is England's only Holocaust museum. The centre was founded by brothers James and Stephen Smith following a 1991 visit to Israel during which a trip to Yad Vashem changed the way they looked at history and the Holocaust.

Ossington

Ossington is a village in the county of Nottinghamshire, England 7 miles north of Newark on Trent. It is centred around the site of Ossington Hall, the ancestral home of the Denison family. The house was demolished in 1964 and all that remains are a few out-buildings and the private chapel which now serves the parish as Holy Rood Church, Ossington.

Boughton railway station (Nottinghamshire)

Boughton railway station is a former railway station in Boughton, Nottinghamshire. It was opened by the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway in March 1897 and closed by British Railways in 1955. The line was notable in that it crossed a series of ridges between river valleys and from Ollerton it climbed at around 1 in 150 to Boughton as it crossed a ridge before the valley of the River Trent.
