Barnburgh Main Colliery

Barnburgh Main Colliery was a coal mine situated on the outskirts of the village of Barnburgh, about two miles north of Mexborough in the Dearne Valley, South Yorkshire, England. The sinking of the colliery was commenced in 1911 by the Manvers Main Colliery Company of Wath-upon-Dearne. The sinking reached the Barnsley seam in 1914 and later the Parkgate seam was reached.

Hooton Pagnell is a village and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, England, on the border with West Yorkshire. Brodsworth Hall

Brodsworth Hall, near Brodsworth, five miles north-west of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, is one of the most complete surviving examples of a Victorian country house in England. It is virtually unchanged since the 1860s. It was designed in the Italianate style by the London architect Philip Wilkinson, then 26 years old. He was commissioned for the grand residence by Charles Sabine Augustus Thellusson, who inherited the estate in 1859.

Clayton is a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster, on the border with West Yorkshire. It lies to the north of Thurnscoe, and is located at approximately 53° 33' 40" North, 1° 19' West, at an elevation of around 80 metres above sea level. Together with Frickley, it makes up the civil parish of Clayton with Frickley, which has a population of 208.
