Thomas Tallis School is a large mixed comprehensive school for pupils aged 11–19, located in Kidbrooke in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, London, United Kingdom. The school is a specialist Arts College, Leading Edge School and national School of Creativity. Occupancy of the new school scheduled to take place in 7 November 2011. The School was built in 1971, originally for 850 pupils. It now has nearly 2000 pupils. It is built on the site of a former RAF airfield.

The Ferrier Estate was a large housing estate located in Kidbrooke, Greenwich, south London. The estate is a typical example of system built social housing in the United Kingdom from the 1950s to the 1970s. The Ferrier is located to the south of Kidbrooke railway station and the A2 Rochester Way, to the north of the A20, to the east of Blackheath and on the border of Eltham.

South East London Green Chain
The South East London Green Chain, also known as the Green Chain Walk is a linked system of open spaces between the River Thames and Crystal Palace Park in London, England. In 1977 four London Boroughs and the Greater London Council created this Green Chain of 300 open spaces to protect them from building activity. The four London boroughs are Bexley, Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich. Many parts of the system are also part of the Capital Ring route.

Metropolitan Borough of Greenwich
The Metropolitan Borough of Greenwich was a Metropolitan borough in the County of London between 1900 and 1965. Within the area of the borough were the Royal Naval College, the Royal Observatory and Greenwich Park. It bordered the boroughs of Woolwich, Deptford, Lewisham. It was amalgamated with the Metropolitan Borough of Woolwich to form the then London Borough of Greenwich, now the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
