Broadholme Priory

Broadholme Priory was a convent of canonesses of the Premonstratensian Order in Nottinghamshire. it is likely to have been founded in the thirteenth century. The Valor Ecclesiasticus gives the gross annual value of this small priory as £18 11s. 10d. (£ as of 2013), On 12 December 1536 Joan Aungewen (or Angevin), was assigned a pension of 7 marks. The site was granted by the Crown in 1537 to Ralph Jackson.

Lincoln Racecourse

Lincoln Racecourse is a former horse racing venue to the west of the city of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. It was the original location of the Lincoln Handicap. The course closed in 1965 and the race relocated to Doncaster Racecourse. The course was located west of the City of Lincoln by Saxilby Road. The racecourse was established by the Lincoln Corporation on West Common in 1773. The grandstand of 1897 is a Grade II listed building, now used as a community centre.

University of Lincoln

The University of Lincoln is an English university founded in 1992, with origins tracing back to the foundation and association with the Hull School of Art 1861. Queen Elizabeth II founded the university's main campus at Brayford Pool in 1996, providing economic revitalisation and elevation to Lincoln. The Independent described the university as "the best thing to happen to Lincoln since the Romans". There are further campuses in Riseholme, Holbeach and Hull.
