Faversham Stone Chapel

Faversham Stone Chapel refers to the ruined Church of Our Lady of Elwarton, located near Faversham, Kent, England. Its origins date back to the Roman era when it was used for pagan purposes. In AD 601 Pope Gregory directed St. Augustine not to destroy pagan buildings, but to adapt them for Christian use: this is an example of a building that was converted. It was reported to be in disrepair by 1511 and seems to be abandoned by 1600.

Sharsted Court

Sharsted Court is a manor house set in woodland near the village of Newnham, Kent England. A house or lodge has been recorded at the site since the time of Odo de Bayeux in 1080, however the present building, exhibiting a number of later styles, principally dates from the 18th century. Earlier residents of the site may have included Iron Age settlers since excavations of earthworks on the estate in 1825 and 1880 revealed evidence of possible Belgic fortifications.

Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway

The Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway in Kent is a 30 gauge heritage railway that operates from Sittingbourne to the banks of The Swale. The line was formerly owned by Bowater, the paper making firm, and was used to carry raw materials and finished products between Ridham Dock and the company's two mills, one at Sittingbourne and the other at Kemsley.
