Sherdley Park

Sherdley Park in the district of Sutton is the largest park in St Helens, Merseyside. Its 700 acres include an 18 hole golf course, a formal garden, open woodland, a lake, pets' corner and summer events. It is well known in the local area for hosting the St Helens Festival (originally called the St Helens Show), a large annual three-day event attended by up to 500,000 people.

Knowsley Road

Knowsley Road was a stadium located in Eccleston, St Helens, Merseyside. It was the home of St Helens RLFC from 1890 until its closure in 2010. St Helens Town FC played their home fixtures at Knowsley Road from 2002 until 2010. For a period, the venue also hosted Liverpool FC Reserves. The stadium was demolished during Spring 2011 and a new construction then known as Cunningham Grange is being built, named after club legend, Keiron Cunningham.

Rainhill railway station

Rainhill railway station serves the district of Rainhill in Merseyside, England. It is situated on the northern route of the Liverpool to Manchester Line, forming part of the Liverpool City Line. The original Liverpool and Manchester Railway which opened in 1830. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by Northern Rail on behalf of Merseytravel and are branded as Merseyrail services.

The Metropolitan Borough of St Helens is a metropolitan borough of Merseyside, in North West England. It is named after its largest town St Helens, and covers an area which includes the settlements of Newton-le-Willows, Earlestown, Haydock, Rainhill, Eccleston, Clock Face, Billinge and Rainford. The Metropolitan Borough Council is made up of 48 councillors, with three representing each of the 16 wards of the borough.
