West Tyrone (Assembly constituency)

West Tyrone is a constituency in the Northern Ireland Assembly. The seat was first used for a Northern Ireland-only election for the Northern Ireland Forum in 1996. Since 1998, it has elected members to the current Assembly. For Assembly elections prior to 1996, the constituency was largely part of the Mid Ulster constituency with a smaller section coming from Fermanagh and South Tyrone constituency. Since 1997, it has shared boundaries with the West Tyrone UK Parliament constituency.

Fermanagh and Omagh District

Fermanagh and Omagh is a proposed Northern Ireland local government district. The district is to be created by merging Fermanagh District and Omagh District. The proposed district was to cover all of County Fermanagh, as well as parts of County Tyrone, and would border counties Donegal, Leitrim, Cavan, and Monaghan in the Republic of Ireland. The district would have an electorate of 74,414. The name of the new district was announced on 17 September 2008.

Necarne

Necarne Castle, formerly known as Castle Irvine, is situated within walking distance of Irvinestown in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. It is just a few miles from Lough Erne. Edward Warde was the first undertaker of the land around Irvinestown at the time of the Plantation of Ulster in 1610.
