Achlain
Achlain is a house in Glenmoriston in the Highland council area of Scotland. It is about 15 km west of Invermoriston, next to the A887 road and the River Moriston. Achlain is on the route of a historic military road, which ran from Fort Augustus to Bernera Barracks, at Glenelg. This road was constructed in the 18th century, and ran north west over the hills from Fort Augustus, before dropping down to Glen Moriston at Achlain. Parts of the route are still visible as dirt tracks.

Caledonian Canal
The Caledonian Canal is a canal in Scotland that connects the Scottish east coast at Inverness with the west coast at Corpach near Fort William. Loch Garry
Not to be confused with Loch Garry, Perthshire Loch Garry,, is 25 km north of Fort William, Lochaber, Scotland, and is 11 km long and 50 m deep. It is fed by waters from Loch Quoich 10 km upstream on the River Garry, and drains into Loch Oich in the Great Glen just 5 km downstream. Loch Garry is much photographed from the A87 for its romantic setting and also because a quirk of perspective makes it appear like a map of Scotland.
