Brig o' Balgownie

The Brig o' Balgownie (originally Bridge of Don) is a 13th-century bridge spanning the River Don in Old Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland. Construction of the bridge was begun in the late 13th century by Richard Cementarius, although its completion was not until 1320 at the time of the Scottish War of Independence. After falling into disrepair in the mid 16th century it was extensively renovated in 1605. Throughout its history the bridge has been considered an important asset.

Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre

Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC), is a large exhibition and conference complex, in Aberdeen, Scotland. The complex is home to a Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotel, conference facilities and the 4,800-seat multi-purpose AECC Arena, which can hold around 4,000 to 8,500 people, depending on the size of the performance. The arena currently hosts local sporting events, including the Aberdeen Cup tennis event.

Royal Aberdeen Golf Club

Royal Aberdeen Golf Club in Aberdeen, Scotland, was founded in 1780 and claims to be the sixth oldest golf club in the world. It was founded as the Society of Golfers at Aberdeen, and became the Aberdeen Golf Club in 1815. The members played on Aberdeen's Queen's Links and over the its Broad Hill until 1888, when they moved to new links at Balgownie, two miles north of the city. The Balgownie course was designed by Archie Simpson and Robert Simpson, and was later remodelled by James Braid.

St Machar's Cathedral

St Machar's Cathedral (or, more formally, the Cathedral Church of St Machar) is a Church of Scotland church in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is located to the north of the city centre, in the former burgh of Old Aberdeen. Technically, St Machar's is no longer a cathedral but rather a high kirk, as it has not been the seat of a bishop since 1690.
