Priesthill

Priesthill is a district south of the River Clyde in the Scottish city of Glasgow. Priesthill was one of the earliest attempts made by the Glasgow local government to relocate families from the central tenements of Gorbals, Pollokshaws and other districts. Several homeless families were housed there in or around 1948–1950. Priesthill was first mentioned in ancient text as a farm community owned by Walter Steward the progenitor of later Stuart kings and queens.

Silverburn Centre

Silverburn (also known as, Pollok town centre or the centre) is an 'out of town' shopping centre located on Barrhead Road in Pollok, Glasgow, Scotland. The development replaces the 75 acre (214,000 sq ft) Pollok centre with a brand new 1,500,000-square-foot shopping centre, anchored by Tesco, Next, Marks & Spencer and Debenhams.

Nitshill

Nitshill is a district on the south side of Glasgow. It is north of South Nitshill, south of Crookston, and southwest of Silverburn and Pollok. Nitshill was originally a coal mining village. The Nitshill Colliery was the scene of one of Scotland's worst mining disasters—on March 15, 1851 in which 61 men and boys died. The village fell within the county of Renfrewshire until about the 1920s, when it was incorporated into the City of Glasgow.

Southpark Village

Southpark Village is an estate of private houses built during the mid-1990s. It is an example of how larger cities in the UK are starting to push into the city's boundaries. Most homes in the area are occupied by private owners who are within working class or lower/medium-middle class income brackets. Like much of Glasgow since the mid-20th Century, the area is ethnically diverse. The area falls under the council tax bracket of Glasgow City Council.
