Scotstoun Primary School

Scotstoun Primary School is a primary school built by Renfrew Landward School Board in 1905 on Earlbank Avenue. The building differs from those built by the Glasgow School Board in many respects, notably in the inclusion of its distinctive towers. The current head teacher is Gillian Mackay. Scotstoun remained outwith Glasgow city boundaries until 1926, when it was annexed to provide land for Glasgow Corporation's planned new housing estates.

Scottish Maritime Museum

The Scottish Maritime Museum currently has collections located at two sites in the West of Scotland, both with strong maritime connections. The museums, located in Irvine and Dumbarton, each portray different areas of Scotland’s maritime heritage. A third museum, Clydebuilt at Braehead, originally opened in 1999 but was closed indefinitely during October 2010 due to lack of funding.

Whiteinch Victoria Park railway station

Whiteinch Victoria Park railway station was a suburban railway station serving Whiteinch in Glasgow, Scotland. It was opened as a goods station known as Whiteinch in 1874 as part of the newly constructed Whiteinch Railway. http://www. railscot. co. uk/Whiteinch_Railway/frame. htm In 1897, the station was rebuilt as Whiteinch Victoria Park, with services running to Jordanhill railway station. However, the passenger service was terminated in 1951.

Braehead Arena

The Braehead Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Renfrewshire, Scotland, in the western part of the Glasgow conurbation. The arena was built in 1999, and is located within the Braehead Complex. The Arena was formerly the home of the Scottish Eagles ice hockey club and is now the home to the expansion Braehead Clan ice hockey team of the Elite Ice Hockey League.

Braehead

Braehead is a commercial development located at the former site of Braehead Power Station in Renfrew on the south bank of the River Clyde in Renfrewshire. It is particularly notable for its large shopping centre, arena and leisure facilities. The centre is due to be rebranded as "intu Braehead" in 2013 following the renaming of parent Capital Shopping Centres Group plc as "intu properties plc".
