Pontcysyllte Aqueduct

The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (full name in Welsh: Traphont Ddŵr Pontcysyllte) is a navigable aqueduct that carries the Llangollen Canal over the valley of the River Dee in Wrexham County Borough in north east Wales. Completed in 1805, it is the longest and highest aqueduct in Britain, a Grade I Listed Building and a World Heritage Site.

Clwyd South (Assembly constituency)

Clwyd South is a constituency of the National Assembly for Wales. It elects one Assembly Member by the first past the post method of election. Also, however, it is one of nine constituencies in the North Wales electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to nine constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole.

Wynn Hall

Wynn Hall is a 17th century house in the old hamlet of Bodylltyn in Ruabon, Wrexham, Wales standing at the junction of the Penycae Road and Plas Bennion Road. It was built in about 1649 by William Wynn. During the English Civil War he served on the Parliamentarian side and was imprisoned at Denbigh Castle. Wynn was one of the commissioners named in the 1650 Act for Propagating the Gospel in Wales.

Ysgol Rhiwabon

Ysgol Rhiwabon ("Ruabon School") is a historic comprehensive school in Ruabon, Wrexham, Wales for 11-18-year-olds. The current headteacher is Mr Alun Harding. In 2003 the Estyn Report concluded that "Ysgol Rhiwabon provides good opportunities for pupils' academic, personal and social development". In 2009 there were nearly 950 pupils on the school roll. The sixth form has a 98% pass rate at A Level.
