Level Plains, Alabama

Level Plains is a small city in Dale County, Alabama, United States. At the 2010 census the population was 2,085. Mayor Bruce Grantham is the current and eighth mayor to serve since the city, then a town, was incorporated on April 30, 1965. Grantham previously served as the fifth mayor from 1998 to 2004. The City Hall is located at 1708 Joe Bruer Road, which is also known as the old Alabama state route 134.

WIRB

WIRB (1490 AM, "Gospel Radio WIRB") is a radio station licensed to serve Level Plains, Alabama, USA, a suburb of Enterprise, Alabama. The station is owned by Virgle Leon Strickland. This WIRB is unrelated to the WIRB formerly licensed to Enterprise that broadcast at 600 kHz from 1948 to 1988. That station changed its call letters to WLHQ on May 11, 1988, before going off the air for good. It was deleted from the FCC database on May 13, 1992.

United States Army Aviation Museum

The United States Army Aviation Museum is an aviation museum located on Fort Rucker near Ozark, Alabama. It has the largest collection of helicopters held by a museum in the world. The museum features some 50 aircraft on public display with aviation artifacts ranging from a replica of the Wright brothers' Model B military biplane to an AH-64 Apache from Operation Desert Storm. The museum has over 160 aircraft in its collection and holds 3,000 historical items.

Fort Rucker

Fort Rucker is a U.S. Army post located mostly in Dale County, Alabama, United States. It was named for a Civil War officer, Confederate General Edmund Rucker. The post is the primary flight training base for Army Aviation and is home to the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) and the United States Army Aviation Museum. Small sections of the post also lie in Coffee, Geneva, and Houston counties.
