Key Underwood Coon Dog Memorial Graveyard

The Key Underwood Coon Dog Memorial Graveyard is a cemetery located in rural Colbert County, Alabama, USA, reserved specifically for the burial of coon dogs. Key Underwood established the cemetery on September 4, 1937 by burying his coon dog, Troop. Underwood chose the spot as it was previously a popular hunting camp. As of 2007 more than 185 dogs are buried at the cemetery.

Tishomingo State Park

Tishomingo State Park is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, northeast of Tupelo. The major feature of the park is Bear Creek Canyon and its generous outcrops of Hartselle Sandstone. The beautiful boulders and towering cliffs of this rock, the more understated outcrops of Bangor Limestone and the creek which carves through it all compose the most rugged and picturesque scenery to be found in the Magnolia State.
