Delta River

The Delta River is a tributary of the Tanana River, which in turn is a tributary of the Yukon River in Alaska in the United States. The river runs from the south to the north about 256 km, being fed by numerous streams and 21 lakes. It meets the Tanana River near Big Delta, in a huge river delta, from which it received its name.

Big Delta, Alaska

Big Delta is a census-designated place (CDP) in Southeast Fairbanks Census Area, Alaska, United States. The population was 591 at the 2010 census. Big Delta is at the confluence of the Delta River and the Tanana River and gets it name from the huge river delta formed by the confluence.

Quartz Lake (Alaska)

Quartz Lake is a mid-sized lake about 10 mi north of Delta Junction, Alaska. It was named Quartz Lake by early mineral prospectors in the area. Much of the lake shore is private property but the Quartz Lake State Recreation Area is also located on the lake via a short access road from the Richardson Highway. The recreation area has campgrounds, hiking trails, public use cabins, and access to both Quartz Lake and nearby Little Lost Lake.

Delta Junction, Alaska

Delta Junction is a city in the Southeast Fairbanks Census Area, Alaska, United States. According to 2010 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 958. The city is located a short distance south of the confluence of the Delta River with the Tanana River, which is at Big Delta. It is about 160 km south of Fairbanks.

KDHS-LP

KDHS-LP is a high school radio station licensed to serve Delta Junction, Alaska. The station is owned by the Delta/Greely School District and operated by the staff and students of Delta High School. It airs a Variety format. The station was assigned the KDHS-LP call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on June 27, 2002. The station began test broadcasts in September 2002 at the start of the 2002-2003 academic year.
