Sells, Arizona

Sells is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pima County, Arizona, United States. The population was 2,799 at the 2000 census. It is the capital of the Tohono O'odham Nation and the home of several of their tribal businesses, such as Tohono O'Odham Ki:Ki Association. Originally known as Indian Oasis, the settlement took its present English name in 1918 to honor Indian Commissioner Cato Sells. The O'odham name means "Tortoise Got Wedged".

MDM Observatory

The MDM Observatory is an optical astronomical observatory on Kitt Peak, adjacent to Kitt Peak National Observatory. It is owned and operated by the University of Michigan, Dartmouth College, Ohio State University, Columbia University, and Ohio University. The "MDM" acronym stands for Michigan-Dartmouth-MIT, because the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was part of the operating consortium in the past.

Fresnal Canyon

Fresnal Canyon is a major landform feature within the Baboquivari Mountains in the southwestern part of North America. This locale has been a notable place for archaeological recovery of pre-ceramic Native American habitation.
