Lukeville Port of Entry

The Lukeville, Arizona Port of Entry has primarily been a port of entry for passenger vehicles and pedestrians. Modifications made using funding from the Federal Highway Administration and Mexican businesses in 2011 facilitate the inspection of trucks and improve general throughput. Much of the traffic using this crossing is people traveling to the popular beach town of Puerto Peñasco, Sonora.

Lukeville, Arizona

Lukeville is a small unincorporated community on the U.S. -Mexico border in southern Pima County, Arizona, United States. The community consists of the Lukeville Port of Entry border crossing into Sonoyta, Sonora, Mexico, together with a gas station, a duty free shop, a few outlets that sell Mexican automobile insurance, and a terminal for buses that are bound for Phoenix and Tucson. It is the terminus of State Route 85 and is located entirely within Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.

Agua Dulce Mountains

The Agua Dulce Mountains are a mountain range in the north-central Sonoran Desert of southwestern Arizona. The range is located in the extreme southwestern portion of Pima County, Arizona, immediately north of the international boundary with Mexico and about 30 miles southwest of Ajo, Arizona. The range has three main sections that total about 15 miles in length and about nine miles in width. The range is located entirely within the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge.
