Magnet Cove igneous complex

The Magnet Cove igneous complex is a small alkalic ring complex lying to the west of the town of Magnet Cove in Hot Spring County, Arkansas. It and the adjacent town are so named due to the existence of magnetite and the terrain being a cove, a basin-shaped valley. The complex is of Mesozoic age, intruded into Paleozoic sediments. Mapping was conducted by the geologists Erickson and Blade in 1963. Units within the complex include carbonatite, nepheline syenite, phonolite, and ijolite.

Magnet Cove, Arkansas

Magnet Cove is a town in Hot Spring County, Arkansas, United States. It is located in the Ouachita Mountains southeast of Hot Springs, off of U.S. Highway 270 and Arkansas Highway 51. As of the 2010 census, the town of Magnet Cove had a population of 5. However, the incorporated boundaries represented in that figure are only a very small portion of the overall Magnet Cove community. The Magnet Cove igneous complex lies to the west of the town.

KBOK (1310 AM, "Pure Country AM 1310") is a radio station licensed to serve Malvern, Arkansas, USA. The station, which began broadcasting in 1951, is currently owned by Noalmark Broadcasting Corporation. KBOK broadcasts a classic country music format to the Hot Springs, Arkansas, area. The station was assigned the KBOK call sign by the Federal Communications Commission.

Malvern (Amtrak station)

The Malvern (Amtrak station) is located at 200 E. First Street in Malvern, Arkansas, in the former Missouri Pacific Railroad station. This 24-foot by 82-foot red brick depot was originally constructed in 1916. Malvern is served by one daily passenger train in each direction, Amtrak's Texas Eagle. Malvern Amtrak station is unstaffed, and trains stop at Malvern on a flag stop basis. Advance reservations are strongly recommended.
