Lake Chicot State Park is one of 52 state parks operated by the State of Arkansas. The park is located on Highway 144, eight miles northeast of Lake Village in Chicot County, Arkansas, on the north end of Lake Chicot.

KRKD

KRKD was an American radio station licensed to serve Dermott, Arkansas, USA. The station was most recently owned by Community Broadcast Group Inc. , and the broadcast license held by M.R.S. Ventures, Inc. When KRKD went off the air permanently in early 2007, it broadcast a classic rock music format branded as "Rock 105.7". The station was assigned the KRKD call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on November 23, 1999.

Lake Village, Arkansas

Lake Village is a city in Chicot County, Arkansas. The population was 2,823 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Chicot County. Lake Village is named for its location on Lake Chicot, an oxbow lake formed from the Mississippi River. Lake Chicot is the largest oxbow lake in North America and the largest natural lake in Arkansas. The state Tourist Information Center in Lake Village is located on a pier extending out into Lake Chicot.

Lake Chicot

Lake Chicot is a lake located near Lake Village, Arkansas. It is the largest oxbow lake in North America and the largest natural lake in Arkansas, formed 600 years ago by the meandering of the Mississippi River. The name Chicot, French for stumpy, is after the many cypress stumps and trees along its banks.

Charles W. Dean Bridge

The Charles W. Dean Bridge, known before 1999 as the Great River Bridge, will be a cable-stayed bridge carrying Interstate 69 and US 278 across the Mississippi River between Arkansas City, Arkansas and Benoit, Mississippi. The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department began land acquisition for the project in October 2006.
