Fordyce High School (FHS) is a comprehensive public high school located in Fordyce, Arkansas, United States. The school provides secondary education in grades 9 through 12 for students encompassing 220.50 square miles of land including Fordyce, Leola, Bearden, Sparkman, and Carthage in Dallas County and Calhoun County. It is only public high school in Dallas County and the only high school administered by the Fordyce School District.

Battle of Marks' Mills

The Battle of Marks' Mills (sometimes referred to as the Battle of Marks' Mill) occurred on April 25, 1864, in Cleveland County, Arkansas as part of the Camden Expedition of the American Civil War. Confederate troops under Maj. Gen. James F. Fagan overwhelmed a small Union detachment commanded by Lt. Col. Francis M. Drake, leading to Union abandonment of their position in Camden, Arkansas.
