Shongaloo, Louisiana

Shongaloo is a village in Webster Parish, Louisiana, United States. West of Shongaloo on Louisiana Highway 2 is Munn Hill, a homestead of Daniel and Rebecca Munn, established on July 26, 1900. Emerson High School is a comprehensive public junior/senior high school serving grades eighth through twelve in the rural community of Emerson, Arkansas, United States. Located in southern Columbia County, Emerson High School is one of three public high schools in the county and one of two high school administered by the Emerson–Taylor School District. The Emerson Pirates have won five state basketball titles and 25 state track and field championships.

Emerson, Arkansas

Emerson is a town in Columbia County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 359 at the 2000 census. Emerson derives its name from Reuben Logan Emerson, an early settler of Columbia County, who was a teacher, merchant, banker, owner of the newspaper The Columbia Banner, and state representative. In 1905, he also founded the city which today bears his name. Emerson celebrated its 100th birthday February 8, 2005.
