Dodge Ridge Ski Area

Dodge Ridge Wintersports Area is a ski area near Pinecrest, California in Tuolumne County, off of Highway 108, 30 mi east of Sonora. The resort in located in the Stanislaus National Forest and operates under a special use permit. Many skiers in Northern California use Dodge Ridge because of its proximity to the San Francisco Bay Area, San Joaquin Valley and Yosemite National Park. The winter sports season typically lasts from December through mid April.

Camp Lake (California)

Camp Lake is a small tarn located in the Emigrant Wilderness in Tuolumne County, California, approximately 10 km north of Yosemite National Park. It is accessible only to hikers and equestrians via the popular Deer Lake Trail. Once a good fishing lake for Brook Trout, Camp Lake is no longer stocked by the California Department of Fish and Game due to the ongoing restoration of the Mountain Yellow Legged Frog in the Sierra Nevada.

New Spicer Meadow Reservoir

New Spicer Meadow Reservoir is a reservoir in Stanislaus National Forest in the Sierra Nevada, in Tuolumne County, near the Alpine County line, at an elevation of 6,621 feet . The 189,000 acre foot reservoir is formed by New Spicer Meadow Dam on Highland Creek, a tributary of the Stanislaus River. The 265-foot tall dam is composed of rock-fill and was completed in 1989.
