Clear Creek (Sacramento River)

Clear Creek is a tributary of the Sacramento River. It is 60.6 miles long and is the first major tributary downstream of the Shasta Dam. The creek originates between Shasta Lake and Trinity Lake and drains into Whiskeytown Lake, which is formed by Whiskeytown Dam. Past the lake, the creek continues south until it joins with the Sacramento River. The Spring Creek Tunnel bypasses that leg and connects Whiskeytown Lake directly to Keswick Reservoir. KLXR (1230 AM, "Radio 1230") is an adult standards formatted radio station based in Redding, California. It features programing from Dial Global's America's Best Music format. Whiskeytown Lake

Whiskeytown Lake, or Schuyler Reservoir, is a reservoir in Shasta County in northwestern California, United States, about 8 miles west of Redding. The lake is in the Whiskeytown Unit of the Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area. Whiskeytown Lake has a capacity of 241,100 acre·ft and is formed by Whiskeytown Dam on Clear Creek. Additional water comes from Lewiston Reservoir, supplied by the Trinity River, via the Clear Creek Tunnel, which comes from the bottom of Lewiston Lake.
