California's 2nd congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California. Jared Huffman, a Democrat, has represented the district since January 2013. Currently, the 2nd district encompasses the northern coast of the state. It stretches from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Oregon border and includes all of Highway 101 north of San Francisco except for part of Sonoma County.

Harris, California

Harris (formerly, Dogtown and Spruce Grove) is an locality in Humboldt County, California. It is located 7 miles west-southwest of Alderpoint, at an elevation of 2,238 feet . The Harris post office opened in 1882, having been transferred from Dark Canyon, was located 3.5 miles north of the current townsite. The post office moved to town in 1946, and closed for good in 1974. The name honors William C. Harris, its first postmaster.
