Travis Air Force Base is a United States Air Force air base under the operational control of the Air Mobility Command (AMC), located three miles (5 km) east of the central business district of Fairfield, in Solano County, California, United States. Solano County, California

Solano County is a county located in the U.S. state of California, about halfway between San Francisco and Sacramento. It is officially one of the nine San Francisco Bay Area counties, and one of four North Bay counties. The county's population was reported by the U.S. Census to be 413,344 in 2010. The county seat is Fairfield and the largest city is Vallejo.

Fairfield/Vacaville is a proposed railroad station in Fairfield, California, USA which would serve the communities of Fairfield and Vacaville. Construction is expected to begin in 2011, following an environmental impact study, with completion slated for 2013. The entire projected is budgeted at $40 million, including parking, bus facilities, and the construction of an overpass to carry Peabody Road over the railroad tracks.
