Eagle Lake is a lake at 5,098 ft elevation in Lassen County approximately 15 mi north of Susanville, California. An endorheic alkaline lake, it is the second largest natural lake entirely in the state of California, United States.

Spaulding, California

Spalding (formerly, Spalding Tract and Spaulding Tract) is a census-designated place in Lassen County, California. It is located on the west side of Eagle Lake, 2.1 miles (3.4 km) east-northeast of Whaleback Mountain and 3 miles (4.8 km) northeast of Eagle Lodge, at an elevation of 5138 feet (1566 m). In 1914, John S. Spalding laid out the town. The place was subdivided in 1924.

Lassen County is a county located in the northeastern portion of the U.S. state of California. As of the 2010 census, the population was 34,895, up from 33,828 at the 2000 census. The county seat is Susanville, the only incorporated city in the county.
