Granby Memorial Middle School is a middle school in Granby, Connecticut for students in 7th and 8th grade. {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:41.9612|-72.7914||||||| |primary |name= }} In 2006 Brian Donna, a 7th grader at Granby, became the Connecticut state champion in the Readers Digest National Word Power Challenge. Granby Memorial High School
Granby Memorial High School is a public high school in Granby, Connecticut. It was founded in 1957 to accommodate the town's growing population. The school is commonly known as "Home of the Bears" and is a member of the NCCC Athletic Conference, where its athletic teams have won a number of championships. The high school's current principal is Dr. Patricia Law. The high school's former principal, Alan Addley, is currently the district's superintendent.

Farmington Canal
The Farmington Canal, also known as the New Haven and Northampton Canal, was a major private canal built in the early 19th century to provide water transportation from New Haven into the interior of Connecticut, Massachusetts and beyond. Its Massachusetts segment was known as the Hampshire and Hampden Canal. With the advent of railroads, it was quickly converted to a railroad in the mid-19th century and in recent years has been converted to a multi-use trail after being abandoned for years.

Barn Door Hills
The Barn Door Hills of north-central Connecticut are a pair of prominent rocky trap rock knobs separated by a steep sided gap. They are located in Granby, Connecticut. The hills are an outlying section of the narrow, linear Metacomet Ridge that extends from Long Island Sound near New Haven, north through the Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts to the Vermont border. The crest of the Metacomet Ridge is located 3.75 miles east at Hatchet Hill.
