Pencader Charter High School

The Pencader Charter High School of Business & Finance, is a high school in New Castle, Delaware that opened in August 2006. It opened with 350 students (200 freshman, 150 sophomores) and is the first high school in Delaware with a business and finance focus. The plan was to enroll 200 students each year thereafter and achieve a student population of 800 by the Fall of 2009. As of 2012, it had approximately 410 students. It has two nearly identical buildings overlooking the Delaware River.

Delaware River and Bay Authority

The Delaware River and Bay Authority or DRBA is a bi-state government agency of the U.S. states of New Jersey and Delaware established by interstate compact in 1962. The authority operates the Delaware Memorial twin suspension bridges, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry between Cape May, New Jersey and Lewes, Delaware, the Three Forts Ferry Crossing and the Salem County Business Center.

New Castle, Delaware

New Castle is a city in New Castle County, Delaware, six miles (10 km) south of Wilmington, situated on the Delaware River. In 1900, 3,380 people lived here; in 1910, 3,351. According to the 2010 Census, the population of the city is 5,285.

Broad Dyke

Broad Dyke is an original dyke in the United States built by the Dutch in 1655 in New Castle, Delaware. It is the center of the twelve mile circle that forms the arc that marks the northern state line. It was surveyed in 1701 by Empson and Pusey.
