First held in 1992, the Apple Scrapple Festival is held annually during the second weekend in October in Bridgeville, Delaware Notable events include the Ladies Iron Skillet Toss, the Scrapple Chunkin' Contest, and the Mayor's Scrapple Sling. Sussex Technical High School

Sussex Technical High School is a public high school in Georgetown, Delaware. Its enrollment at last count was roughly 1,300 students. As a choice school, each year over 600 eighth-grade students in Sussex County apply for 300 openings. Its mascot is a raven. Also known as Sussex Tech, the school was one of two Delaware high schools recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School in 2008 for academic achievement.

Banning, Delaware

Banning, Delaware, USA was a stop in Cedar Creek Hundred on the now defunct Queen Anne's Railroad line between Ellendale and Greenwood positioned at the NE corner of what now is Rd 44/Blacksmith Shop Rd and DE-16 W/Beach Hwy. After the railroad closed down and the tracks were removed, all Banning, Delaware property owned by the railroad was returned to Mark L. Banning, its previous landowner. A small town built around the Banning, Delaware stop disappeared.
