Cedar Creek Hundred
Cedar Creek Hundred is a "hundred" located in Sussex County, Delaware that was established in 1702. The counties of Delaware were originally divided into Hundreds based on the English use of dividing up counties. On October 25, 1682, William Penn directed that Delaware be divided into hundreds for the purposes of taxation. A "hundred" is an old English Saxon land division which is smaller than a county or shire and larger than a tithing.

Georgetown Speedway
Georgetown Speedway was built in 1949 by Melvin L. Joseph. Its located on U.S. Route 113 about 1 mile south of Georgetown, Delaware. Attendance on some nights was boosted by fans coming via ferry from New Jersey. After sitting silent for a number of years the speedway was recently reopened in May 2006. The speedway is currently promoted by Jessica James. Georgetown Speedway is 1/2 mile clay oval with racing every Friday night.

Sussex Technical High School is a public high school in Georgetown, Delaware. Its enrollment at last count was roughly 1,300 students. As a choice school, each year over 600 eighth-grade students in Sussex County apply for 300 openings. Its mascot is a raven. Also known as Sussex Tech, the school was one of two Delaware high schools recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School in 2008 for academic achievement.
