Lake Wimauma

Lake Wimauma, on the south side of the town of Wimauma, Florida, could be considered two lakes, basically round in shape. When the water level is high, they are connected by a short narrow channel. The south part of the lake is much larger than the northern part. Lake Wimauma has a 108-acre surface area. To the north of the northern part is Florida State Route 674. The entire lake is surrounded by trees, grassland and a scattering of residences.

Greater Sun Center, Florida

Greater Sun Center, known more commonly as Sun City Center, is an unincorporated census-designated place located in southern Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. It is located south of Tampa and north of Sarasota on I-75. As of the 2000 census, the population was 16,321. However, the Chamber of Commerce estimated the number to be approximately 19,000, including 500 retired military officers. The Zip Code serving the community is 33573.

Balm, Florida

Balm is an unincorporated, rural community located in southeastern Hillsborough County, Florida, approximately 18 miles southeast of Tampa. It is the location of Goodson Farms, Inc. packing house and locally renowned produce market open from December to April. In 2005, Goodson Farms had begun rebuilding the stand on the intersection of McGrady Road and CR672. It was completed in late 2006. There are also four tropical fish farms and a small holding area for Barnum and Bailey's circus animals.

Ruskin, Florida

Ruskin is an unincorporated census-designated place in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. U.S. Route 41 currently runs through the center of the community. The town was founded August 7, 1908 on the shores of the Little Manatee River. It was developed by Dr. George McAnelly Miller, an attorney and professor at Ruskin College in Trenton, Missouri, and Mrs. Adaline D. Miller. He established the short lived Ruskin College in Florida.
