WFBO-LP

WFBO-LP (97.7, "Oldies 97.7 The Blizzard") was a low-power FM radio station in Flagler County, Florida, with their last studio location at 819 North A1A, Suite B, in Flagler Beach, Florida. The antenna and transmitter were located on and in the Aliki Condo 1601 North Central Ave. and never relocated. This was also the location of the studio when the station first went on air. The studio relocated, in 2004, to the second floor of Century 21 A1A, 1399 North Oceanshore Blvd.

Houses of Refuge in Florida

The Houses of Refuge in Florida were a series of stations operated by the United States Life-Saving Service along the coast of Florida to rescue and shelter ship-wrecked sailors. Five houses were constructed on the east coast in 1876, with five more added in 1885. There were also two life-saving stations built, one just south of the Jupiter Inlet, the other on the Gulf coast on Santa Rosa Island near Pensacola, Florida.
