Lake Thonotosassa is an 839 acres lake that is named after the census-designated place (CDP) that it is in, which is Thonotosassa, Florida. Residential development surrounds the lake. There are no roads that cross it, but the four roads that go around it are: Taylor Road/Fort King Highway (west), Thonotosassa Road (south), McIntosh Road, (east), and Knights-Griffin Road (north). U.S. Route 301 is about a quarter-mile northeast of the lake.

WLCC is a radio station broadcasting a Regional Mexican format. Licensed to Brandon, Florida, USA, it serves the Tampa Bay area. The station started in 1988 by Bruce Micek's Asti Broadcasting using call letters WEND as the flagship station of the Sun Radio Network. Dinosaur World is the name of three outdoor dinosaur theme parks in the US. Locations include Plant City, Florida, Glen Rose, Texas, and Cave City, Kentucky. The parks each feature over 150 life-size dinosaur sculptures created by Christer Svensson.
