Plant City Stadium

Plant City Stadium is a stadium in Plant City, Florida. It is primarily used for softball and was the spring training home of Cincinnati Reds prior to moving to Ed Smith Stadium in 1998. The ballpark has a capacity of 6,000 people and opened in 1988. In 2013, it will be the home for the VSI Tampa Bay FC soccer team in USL Pro.

The Plant City High School is a historic public high school in Plant City, Florida, United States. It was built in 1914 on a design by Tampa based architect Willis R. Biggers at 605 North Collins Street. The original building is now a community center and a new school building completed in 1972 on Maki Road, later designated with the address of 1 Raider Place. Plant City is a city in Hillsborough County, Florida, in the United States, approximately midway between Brandon and Lakeland along Interstate 4. The population was 34,721 at the 2010 census. Many people believe it was named for the flora grown at plant nurseries in its tropical Gulf Coast climate. However, it was actually named after prominent railroad developer, Henry B. Plant.
