Kenansville, Florida

Kenansville, Florida, USA, is an unincorporated community with a population of just under 1000, a large number of which are over the age of 50, located at the junction of Osceola County Road 523 and U.S. Highway 441 in Osceola County, Florida, 12 miles north of Yeehaw Junction and 27 miles south of St. Cloud. The community is named for Mary Lily Kenan Flagler, the wife of the prominent railroad entrepreneur Henry Morrison Flagler. Flagler made a deal with the town of "Whittier".

Blue Cypress Lake

Blue Cypress Lake, originally called Lake Wilmington, is a lake in Indian River County of the Treasure Coast in Florida. It is the largest lake in the Treasure Coast and Indian River County. It is home to the origin of the St. Johns River. It is believed that the source is on the northeastern portion of the lake. The lake is over 6,500 acres (26 km²) in size, 21 mi (34 km) in circumference, and has an average depth of 8 feet (2 m).

The Compound

The Compound, also known as Street Patterns or The Grid, is an area in southwestern Palm Bay, Florida, similar to Flagler Estates. It is largely undeveloped area of some 200 miles of paved road. General Development Corporation began development of the area in the 1980s, but went bankrupt in 1991: afterwards, few residents ever moved in, and the streets fell into serious disrepair by the early-2000s.

Three Lakes Wildlife Management Area

The Three Lakes Wildlife Management Area (not to be confused with Three Lakes near Miami) is the largest remaining expanse of dry prairie in the United States. It is located approximately 70 miles south of the Kissimmee - Disney World area of Central Florida. The management area is situated near Lake Kissimmee, Lake Jackson and Lake Marian. It comprises 62,000 acres including parts of the Kissimmee Prairie. The area is open for recreational uses including hunting, fishing, hiking, and birding.
