Durant High School is a public high school in Plant City, Florida. It was opened in 1995 on Cougar Path in the city by its first Principal, Mr. Ron Frost. He died of cancer in 1996. The Durant High School Football stadium is named in his honor. The school is named for the community in which it is located. Principals have included Ron Frost (1995-1996), Sherry Sikes (1997-1999), Joe Perez (1999–2004) and Pamela Bowden (2004–present).

C. W. Bill Young Regional Reservoir
The C.W. Bill Young Regional Reservoir is a 15.5 billion US gallons reservoir which collects water from the Alafia and Hillsborough Rivers in central Florida. It is named for C.W. Bill Young, the U.S. Congressman from Florida's 10th congressional district. Tampa Bay Water, the regional water authority for Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties, worked for nearly a decade in constructing the reservoir, which was completed in June 2005, and officially opened on 15 October 2005.

Bloomingdale High School is a public high school located in Valrico, Florida. Bloomingdale was established in 1987, three years after Gaither High School, and has its same architectural design. Bloomingdale's first graduating class graduated in 1989, since Hillborough County does not pull seniors from existing schools for new schools. The current principal is Mr. Mark West. The first principal was Mr. Charley Harris. The football stadium is named for him (Charley Harris Stadium).
