2002 Tampa plane crash
The 2002 Tampa plane crash was an incident that occurred on Saturday, January 5, 2002. The incident occurred when a high-school student of Eastlake High in Tarpon Springs, Florida, Charles J. Bishop, inspired by the September 11 attacks, stole a Cessna 172 and crashed it into the side of the Bank of America Tower in downtown Tampa, Florida. The impact killed the teenager and damaged an office room. There were no other injuries.

Fort Brooke was a historical military post situated on the east bank (at the mouth) of the Hillsborough River in present-day Tampa, Florida. The Tampa Bay History Center, Cotanchobee/Fort Brooke Park, and the Tampa Convention Center currently stands at the site.

Dick Greco Plaza
Dick Greco Plaza is a HARTline transit center located in the southern end of downtown Tampa across from the Marriott Waterside and the Tampa Convention Center. It is the terminal station for the TECO Line Streetcar System and the In-Town Trolley routes. It opened on January 30, 2003 and cost $3 million to build. The station was officially dedicated on May 29, 2008 in honor of Dick A. Greco, a former mayor who was instrumental in bringing streetcars back to Tampa after an almost 60 year absence.
