Camden County High School is the only public high school for Camden County, Georgia. It is a comprehensive grades 9-12 high school, which includes a ninth grade center and an auditorium. It is situated beside the Camden Recreational Center which provides the school with many extracurricular services and activities along with Chris Gilman Stadium which is the home to the school's football team. Camden County High School is currently part of the Georgia 6A class of athletics.

King of Peace Episcopal Church is an Episcopal church located at 6230 Laurel Island Parkway, Kingsland, Georgia. It is a parish of the Diocese of Georgia created in 2000. The church first met in a house on its present site and built a church building in 2004, giving away the house to be a home once more. The church has a 43,000-marble tile labyrinth in the floor of its sanctuary.

Since 1979, the adjacent Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay (initially named Naval Submarine Support Base Kings Bay), located at 30.796 N, 81.514 W, has served as the major East Coast operating, training and refit base for nuclear ballistic missile submarines (SSBN). The base also hosts the Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic (SWFLANT), 30.785 N, 81.537 W.
