WWIO (AM)

WWIO is an American radio station licensed to serve St. Marys, Georgia, USA. The station is owned by Lighthouse Christian Broadcasting Corporation, which also owns WECC-FM at Folkston, Georgia. It broadcasts a variety/public radio format in conjunction with WSVH. The station was assigned the call sign "WWIO" by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on April 19, 2002.

St. Marys, Georgia

St. Marys is a city in Camden County, Georgia, United States. The city is the gateway to Cumberland Island National Seashore, the largest of the Georgia Coast's barrier islands. The Island’s visitor center and boat access are both located at the St. Marys waterfront. The city is also home to the annual St. Marys Rock Shrimp Festival, the St. Marys Submarine Museum, the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base, and to eight Ohio-class submarines. The population of St. Marys was 29,986 at the 2010 census.

Kings Bay, Georgia

Kings Bay is a small unincorporated community located at 30.804 N, 81.560 W in Camden County on the southern coast of the U.S. state of Georgia. Since 1979, the adjacent Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay (initially named Naval Submarine Support Base Kings Bay), located at 30.796 N, 81.514 W, has served as the major East Coast operating, training and refit base for nuclear ballistic missile submarines (SSBN). The base also hosts the Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic (SWFLANT), 30.785 N, 81.537 W.
