Florida State Hospital

Florida State Hospital is a hospital and mental institution in Chattahoochee, Florida. Established in 1876, it was until 1947 Florida's only state mental institution. It currently has a capacity of 1,042 patients. The hospital's current Administration Building is on the National Register of Historic Places. The facility's property previously served as a military arsenal during the Seminole Wars and the American Civil War, and later became the site of Florida's first state prison.

St. John, Florida

St. John and Robertsville are two unincorporated communities in Gadsden County, Florida, United States. They are located near the intersection of Old Philadelphia Road and Old Bainbridge Road. Unlike some people think, the communities are not a part of the Mount Pleasant area. They recently had a zipcode change which split the community into two zipcodes, however the community considers itself a part of Quincy. Lake Seminole

Lake Seminole is a reservoir located in the southwest corner of Georgia along its border with Florida, maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Chattahoochee and Flint rivers join in the lake, before flowing from the Jim Woodruff Lock and Dam, which impounds the lake, as the Apalachicola River. The lake contains 37,500 acres of water, and has a shoreline of 376 mi . The fish in Lake Seminole include Largemouth bass, crappie, Chain pickerel, catfish, Striped bass and other species.

Victory Bridge (Florida)

The Victory Bridge carries US 90 over the floodplain of the Apalachicola River in the Florida Panhandle, immediately below the Jim Woodruff Dam. It was originally built by the Masters and Mullen Construction Company out of Cleveland (Henry C. Masters and Claude F. Mullen). The original Victory Bridge, completed in 1922 at a cost of $1,000,000 USD, is no longer used, having been replaced by a high-level bridge slightly upstream that carries the same name.
