Mountain Home High School (Idaho)

Mountain Home High School is a four-year public secondary school in Mountain Home, Idaho, the only traditional high school of the Mountain Home School District (#193). It serves over 1,100 students in grades 9–12, from the city of Mountain Home and Mountain Home Air Force Base to the southwest. MHHS is located at 300 South 11th East, and the principal is Jeff Johnson. The current building opened in 1954, with several additions, the latest in 2009.

Mountain Home, Idaho

Mountain Home is the largest city and county seat of Elmore County, Idaho. The population was 14,206 at the 2010 census. Mountain Home is the principal city of the Mountain Home, ID Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes Elmore County. Mountain Home was originally a post office at Rattlesnake Station, a stagecoach stop on the Overland Stage Line, about seven miles (11 km) east of the city, on present-day US-20 towards Fairfield.

Danskin Power Plant

The Danskin Power Plant is a gas-fired power plant owned and operated by Idaho Power. The plant is housed in the Evander Andrews Complex near Mountain Home, Idaho, USA. The 261-megawatt plant consists of one 171-MW simple cycle combustion turbine, which came online in May 2008. Government agencies believe Danskin Power Plant may have negative impacts on the surrounding environment.
