Pittsburg Landing, Idaho
Pittsburg Landing is an unincorporated area in Idaho County, Idaho, United States. Its elevation is 1,150 feet . It was named after the industrial heritage of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The place is located on the Snake River in Hells Canyon. It is reached by Deer Creek Road, a single track gravel road from White Bird, Idaho. The United States Forest Service maintains a developed campground there with approximately 28 campsites. There is also a boat launch ramp on the river.

Battle of White Bird Canyon
The Battle of White Bird Canyon was fought on June 17, 1877 in Idaho Territory. White Bird Canyon was the opening battle of the Nez Perce War between the Nez Perce Indians and the United States. The battle was a significant defeat of the U.S. Army. It took place in the western part of present-day Idaho County, southwest of the city of Grangeville.

White Bird Hill Summit
White Bird Hill Summit is a mountain pass in north central Idaho on U.S. Highway 95. Located in Idaho County, it is midway between White Bird and Grangeville. The summit elevation of the highway is 4,245 feet above sea level, through a substantial cut. The modern multi-lane highway was completed in June 1975, following ten years of construction which concluded with the opening of the bridge at the base over White Bird Creek.
