South Elgin (Amtrak station)

The South Elgin Amtrak station is a proposed train station located in South Elgin, Illinois, and will serve a new Chicago-Rockford-Dubuque Amtrak route that is expected to begin operation in late 2014 or early 2015. South Elgin will be the first stop west of Chicago Union Station. The city of South Elgin is planning the location for the station to be on Randall Road. No other plans for the station have been identified so far.

Pingree Grove, Illinois

Pingree Grove is a village in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 124 at the 2000 census. However, rapid development in recent years has resulted in explosive growth, and a special census conducted in 2008 indicated 3,855 residents. In the next decade, the population is expected to reach 15,000 as farmlands are developed into new housing units. Pingree Grove is becoming known as a "Green Town", being environmentally friendly.
