Volo Auto Museum

The Volo Auto Museum is an automobile museum in the Chicago suburb of Volo, Illinois, USA. It is part of a larger antique mall. The museum contains an exhibit of collectors' autos from vintage to modern classics, with the main focus being American cars of the 1950-1960 period. Unique to this museum is that many of the vehicles on display (in four large buildings) are for sale. A military-oriented "Armed Forces Exhibit" was added in the late 2000s.

McHenry Dam

The McHenry Dam is the only dam on the Fox River that is serviced by a lock system. It is located in McHenry County, Illinois and was built in 1907. The facility is owned and run by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The lock operates for all powered, sail driven, or paddle propelled canoes or boats, even float tubes, at no charge.
