The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District is a mass transit system that is part of the Champaign-Urbana Metropolitan Area in which property taxes are levied to support a local transit system operating buses and the Illinois Terminal intermodal facility in downtown Champaign. University of Illinois Arboretum

The University of Illinois Arboretum (160 acres) is a new arboretum, with gardens, currently under construction on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus. It is located at the intersection of Florida and Lincoln Avenue, Urbana, Illinois, and open daily without charge. The arboretum is being constructed on the university's south campus farmlands. As of 2005, developed sections are as follows: Welcome Garden - an entrance and meeting place.

Krannert Center for the Performing Arts

Krannert Center for the Performing Arts was built in 1969 in Urbana, Illinois, USA, on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as an educational and performing arts complex. Herman C. Krannert, an industrialist (founder of Inland Container Corporation and alumnus of the University) and his wife Ellnora Krannert made a gift of $16 million which made creation of the Center possible.
