Poverty Ridge, Illinois

Poverty Ridge is an unincorporated community in Fulton County, Illinois, United States, about eleven miles northwest of Lewistown. Its elevation is 633 feet (202 m), and it is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:40|27|43|N|90|20|27|W|type:city | |name= }} (40.4619856, -90.3409579). The community is named for a line of hills near Seville, which likewise is named Poverty Ridge.

Tuscumbia, Illinois

Tuscumbia is a ghost town in Bernadotte Township, Fulton County, Illinois, USA that sprang up in the township and was platted by Wade Hampton on 2 March 1837. It consisted of 54 lots. It flourished for a while and had a school, but by 1855 was abandoned. A sign on County Road 14, known as the Bernadotte blacktop, nine miles west of Lewistown, Illinois, is the only remnant.

Fulton County, Illinois

Fulton County is a county located in the U.S. state of Illinois. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 37,069, which is a decrease of 3.1% from 38,250 in 2000. Its county seat is Lewistown. Canton is the largest city. Both cities are southwest of Peoria, and the county is considered a part of the wider Peoria Consolidated Statistical Area. Nevertheless, Fulton County is part of Forgottonia. The Canton Micropolitan Statistical Area includes all of Fulton County.
