Charlestown Senior High School

Charlestown High School is located in the northeastern part of Charlestown, Indiana. Charlestown is in the southeastern part of Indiana, not far from Louisville, Kentucky. Charlestown's teams are known as the Pirates, a pattern that descends down to Charlestown's middle and elementary schools. In the 2010-2011 school year it had a student population of nearly 740; the original school could hold 700.

John Work House and Mill Site

John Work House and Mill Site is a Registered Historic Place just outside Charlestown, Indiana, owned by the Lincoln Heritage Council, (BSA), as part of the Tunnel Mill Scout Reservation. For a century, it was an active gristmill until technology made it obsolete, and arson destroyed much of it. Prominent features around the site are Fourteen Mile Creek and the Devil's Backbone.

Clark County is a county located in the U.S. state of Indiana, located directly across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky. At the 2010 Census, the population was 110,232. The county seat is Jeffersonville. Clarksville is also a major city in the county. Clark County is part of the Louisville/Jefferson County, KY–IN Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Springville, Clark County, Indiana

Springville was a small town that existed from 1798-1811 in Charlestown Township, Clark County, Indiana, United States. It was named for the springs in the area that provided a good fresh water supply. A Frenchman had established a trading post at the site in 1799, Indians called it Tullytown due to the prominent trader Charles Tully (pronounced two-lay). It laid where four Indian trails connected, two of which went to what is now present-day Detroit and Cincinnati.
