Glendale is a neighborhood located on the northside of Indianapolis, located immediately east of Broad Ripple. Glendale is one of the oldest suburban neighborhoods in Indianapolis and is fairly residential in nature, despite being a heavy commercial district. Monon Trail

The Monon Trail is a rail trail in Indiana. It uses a portion of the Chicago-Indianapolis main line of the former Monon Railroad, which was abandoned between Indianapolis and Delphi, Indiana in 1987. The trail serves both bicyclists and pedestrians. It runs from Indianapolis into Carmel and Westfield, Indiana, a length of 16.7 miles . The 10.0 miles in Indianapolis were completed in 1999 and the 5.2 miles in Carmel were opened between 2001 and 2002.
